I was starting to think that Copytrack stopped communication. But I was wrong, which is good. I would like to have proof that the two cases are closed… for the same image.

I woke up this morning to two emails from Copytrack in response to both 4 and B claims.
Copytrack.com’s response to the case, starting with 4

They will not provide proof of ownership that they wish me to give. Notable, they do not show where on Wenn.com I might find this image. So, that is one case still open.
Copytrack.com’s response to the case, starting with B

Copytrack.com gives no apology, as expected.
Keep in mind both cases are for the same image. I am sure they would love that if I had to engage a lawyer. It only adds to a lack of checks and balances against false claims.
My feelings about this are kind of mixed. On one hand, I want it over. On the other hand, I was split on finding out what happens if you win versus if you ignore the emails. At this point, I experienced the win, and now I could experience the negotiation for paying less by ignoring them all over the same image on behalf of WENN Rights International Ltd.
I am still waiting on a response from WENN Rights International Ltd Update.
Am I anti-copyright?
Knowing how people think, I feel I need to have a response ready for people who support what Copytrack is doing in every post on the subject of copyright. So, for those who can only see any complaints against Copytrack as disrespect for copyrights, You would be wrong on so many levels.
Copytrack.com has a history of false positives on private images, fair use, public domain, purchased from a stock image site, created by the user… on behalf of parties who do not own those images. That in itself is a violation of copyright. My concern is the extortion-like tactics Copytrack takes on behalf of companies like WENN Rights International Ltd.
So, to any fanatics of Copytrack, I have to ask:
- Should people who do not own an image be able to use that image to make money?
- Is it okay for people with the right to those images to be harassed?
- Is it okay for people with the right to those images to be ignored?
- Is it okay for people with the right to those images to have a higher burden of proof than the companies Copytrack represents?
Creators suffer enough from people stealing their content. They should not have their own content used against them.
